I believe that society has come to except an overly generic use of design to keep up with trends instead of working to break them. If the designer can create a vision that surpasses that of the client's, they can offer infinite opportunities for them to create more than a name or brand but a presence for society. We should be learning to design diversely in our generation not copying the remainder of concepts left for the taking.
